The River Severn valley is pretty lovely anyway and a visit to the Severn Valley Country Park is the ideal opportunity to enjoy the countryside and admire the views. You could be very green and come here by train as the historic Severn Valley Railway stops at nearby Highley and you can hop on and off.

Take one of four waymarked trails or embark on the Orienteering trail; either way you’ll discover the woodlands, meadows and riverside of this old coal-mining area. There’s a tea shop and picnic areas for keeping you going.
