This really does offer something for everyone. It’s a unique landscape of ancient woodland, heather-covered heath, wide lawns, boggy mires, gentle farmland, coastal saltmarsh and mudflats and picturesque villages. One of the few places you’ll go in south east England that has such a sense of wildness and tranquillity – that’s something to let the kids soak up.



The New Forest Centre in Lyndhurst has loads of information to help you get the best from your stay. It also has displays on many aspects of Forest life. Walk, cycle or ride (William the Conqueror would approve of this as he hunted here) and enjoy the trees, wildlife and just ‘being’.
